2018 Spring Clothes You Will Fall In Love With

by Annisa Love

March 11, 2018

Spring is blooming quite fast and we all go through that issue: what do I wear and how do I wear it due to temperature? Here in California, we are going through this issue of one second being cold and the next being warm or hot. So, since I have to think about weather during our spring, it may be helpful to those of you having the same issue with your spring! You can get your spring lookbook put together after reading this article!

Florals (“Modern Romance”)

The fun and flirty look, or also known as the “romantic” look. I absolutely love how these look and they just scream spring! Very pretty, feminine, and fun.  Any and all colors work and you can easily get a fun, knee-high skirt, long-sleeved blouse, or a tank-top that all have these beautiful designs. Also, wearing floral designs like the one above where they travel upward give the allusion that shorter people are taller, so it’s a plus!

These can be found at your local Goodwill or thrift store. Or, you can find these pieces at Macy’s, Target, Banana Republic, Forever 21, or H&M.

Lavender

This beautiful plant does not just smell good, but it also looks great on. Lavender is a very calming color, so if you are rushing around doing your spring cleaning, getting ready for any family get togethers or brunches (because when else is it a perfect time to have a brunch?), trying to get an outfit planned for Easter Sunday, or any other hectic plans, this color will bring some calm feelings to your wardrobe.

Spring is calling for this color to be worn. A pretty, shear lavender dress would look beautiful, or make a statement with a lavender blazer! Throw on some lavender scented lotion from Aveda or Sephora and, bam, you are a walking flower that smells and looks beautiful!

Bright Orange (and) Jumpsuits

We got a two in one here! Everyone loves their jumpsuits, but a lot of people like to stick to black or dark colored jumpsuits. If it is hot, an off the shoulder or tank-top jumpsuit would be perfect. If it is cold, a long-sleeved jumpsuit would do great as well, or style it with a cute jacket to keep you warm. It is time to flair it up a bit and have some fun with it! Orange is a very brave color, but honestly, bright orange-yellow colors look great on everyone. And if you do not want to wear a fully yellow-orange jumpsuit and you would rather stick to your black/dark colored jumpsuit, well add a splash of color! A cute, bring orange belt or scarf would look great on anyone!

You can easily get an orange belt from Forever 21, L.L. Bean, or if you want to get fancy, there is alway Louis Vuitton.

Paper Bag Waist Pants

Odd name right? When I first heard this name, I thought, “Am I going to be wearing a paper bag?” While conducting multiple Google searches, I found the answer. These cute, high-waisted pants can range from looking casual to work attire to party ready. They are cute and look good on almost everyone and now I am actually thinking about investing in a cute pair of these. They are flowy and perfect for the heat or the cold. Pair a plain pair of paper bag pants with a cute tank-top or a cute blouse.

These can be found at Macy’s, Nordstrom, Forever 21, Dillard’s, or Urban Outfitters.

Red and Pink

Red and pink are beautiful and feminine colors. They are romantic and this is good for anyone. Anyone can wear beautiful shades of red and pink and be able to work it! Beautiful blush pinks and red roses are blooming so go ahead and have some fun looking like the beautiful flower you are. An exciting red shirt with a dark denim skirt or a pink tank-top to go with your cute paper bag waist pants (see what I did?). Remember those cute, red Coke shirts everyone wore? Well, vintage is always in, so break those out and wear them so you are matching the roses!

You can find these cute colors anywhere. Target, Macy’s, Nordstrom, Forever 21, or any store you like getting your clothes from really.

Trench Coats

Trench Coats are back (did they ever really leave?) and they are super cute. These stylish jackets that Inspector Gadget and most old-school mystery solvers pulled off can be worn in cold and warm weather. Wear some skinny jeans and a long-sleeved blouse with a trench coat in the cold or a pair of cute pants and a tank top or (if you are comfortable) a sports bra with an open trench coat! Rock it with any style you desire and it will look great! These are great for casual events or cold business days.

These can be found at Macy’s, JCPenney, Kohl’s, Target, ASOS, and I bet if you are lucky, you may find it at the thrift store. Do not undermine the thrift store! You can find some great deals and amazing things there!

Sneakers

Ah, the lovely staple that I love to see. We all own a pair of sneakers that feel and (maybe) look great. Whether they are new or old, you can wear them with almost any outfit. New, clean, and monochromatic sneakers are great for business-esque type of outfits, maybe even casual outfits. Those fun, bright colored sneakers look great with a very neutral outfit as you pop of color. And those old, beat up sneakers that you really do not want to part ways with, those can be worn with a cute vintage styled outfit.

For the most part, you can find sneakers anywhere. If you like name brand, Converse, Vans, Foot Locker, Shoe City, ect. are good places to look. If you have a budget and do not feel like buy the name brand shoe, Payless, Walmart, and Target have some really good ones. Also, keep an eye out for high quality brands at places like TJ Maxx, Ross, or even (again) a thrift store! You will be surprised!

That is it for this post! I hope you found it helpful and got some good spring 2018 ideas (because I sure know I did!). Thank you for reading and hope you come back soon!
