Basically, shorts are short trousers or pants that do not go lower than the knees. They are usually worn in hot weather and one of the things that make them unique is that they come in different types, styles and lengths and these make them appropriate for casual, formal, semi-formal and sports activities. The availability of different types, styles and lengths also makes them suitable for different body types.

Cut-off Shorts

Cut-off shorts usually have a frayed cut edge which adds to its rugged look. These kinds of shorts can be easily made at home by cutting an old pair of jeans into a length that is above the knee. While choosing a pair of short, it is important to consider some factors such as height, body weight and body shape.

For thin and tall people, it is advisable to go for a pair of mid-length shorts that are a little bit lose and rolled up at the hem.

For short people, the shorter the shorts, the better. A pair of wedges or heels also help to elongate the legs.

For plus-sized people, it is best to go for knee-length shorts as this will flatter the body more. A pair of wedges or heels can also help to elongate the legs.

For curvy people, high-waist shorts tend to flatter their bodies by accentuating their beautiful curves.
